SCS Newsletter 1-21-2025
Good morning everyone~
The Board and Caleb met last evening, and we have many updates to share with you! Important info for this Thursday is at the end of the message….READ THROUGH!
Don has created a mid-year financial report. It is linked through our member page and also HERE.
Erica will be starting up the application process for our scholarship soon. If you would like to serve on the scholarship committee, please contact her at ericapboyd@aol.com.
We will be continuing many of the same processes used recently. If you have an absence to report, the new link is on the member page, and also here.

We will also still take attendance at each rehearsal. Your section attendance takers are: Kathryn Rosenberg, Lorie Stuart, Joel Kling, and Paul Inderhees. Alternate attendance takers are Jessica Stuart, Karen Kirksey, and Don Stuart.
We will also continue to have rehearsal note takers for each section. Those people are: Kathryn R, Amy R, and Scott Nesbitt. We are looking for someone in the bass section to be a note taker! Please contact Mary Wynn and/or Caleb if you would like to be that person.
Facebook – We continue to have TWO Facebook pages. The first “Sycamore Community Singers,” is the page that we use to promote ourselves to the public. Currently, only Amy and Mary Wynn can post to this page, but we ask all of you to like and share our posts to reach a wider audience.
The second page is our “SCS Choir Members” group. This is a private group that is open to any current or former SCS singer. We do not admit any person who is not in the choir, and we are not removing people when they resign.Anyone in the group is able to post to the SCS Choir Members group page, and we encourage you to share fun family news, funny choir memes, casual photos of rehearsals, reminders, etc.
FOR THIS SEASON:
* Please arrive a little early on Thursday to get your music! The music will NOT be in envelopes so please bring your folder or binder or whatever you use to keep your music from week to week. And bring a pencil… and water! 
* This concert will include “What the World Needs Now Is Love” which we sang a few years ago. If you have a copy, please dig it out and bring it to rehearsal.
*Caleb would like our attire for the concerts to be our CASUAL Black attire. I will dig out the scarves and ties!
