Happy Wednesday! Thanks for your patience as you waited for our email message this week. It took a little bit to get all the pieces together! ~MWH
Director’s Notes
Hi Everyone! It is hard to believe that we are already a quarter of the way through our spring semester together. I’m looking forward to getting back to work with you all tomorrow. First and foremost, I would like to introduce our Assistant Director, Jacob Threadgill.
Jacob Threadgill is a classically trained tenor and a Voice teacher. He taught private voice lessons for 6 years and currently teaches Voice and beginner piano at the Oxford Music Academy. He has 3 years experience teaching high school ensembles at Cooper High School, where he served as the Vocal Music Director for their theatre program. He recently spent a summer in Urbania, Italy studying Mozart under renowned voice teachers such as Gail Dubinbaum. Jacob also currently serves as Assistant Director of the Presbyterian Church of Hamilton’s choir.
Jacob will be with you all tomorrow to warm you up (I will be coming from school conferences). Once I arrive, we will break out into sectionals. We will focus on “Defying Gravity” for the ladies and “Make Them Hear You” for the guys. We will also work through “What the World Needs Now is Love” in sectionals.
You will find the link to the SignUp Genius for Solo Auditions HERE. Comment the solo(s) you’d like to audition for; you will only be considered for solos you audition for. The solo opportunities are:
- It Takes a Village
- Dream On
- Turn, Turn, Turn
- We Rise Again
- Defying Gravity (SSA Only)
- I Love You/What A Wonderful World (solo only)
- Make Them Hear You (TTBB Only)
If no slots are available or none fit your schedule, let me know, and we’ll find a time! ~Caleb

Please use the absence reporting form to let us know when you cannot attend rehearsal. https://forms.gle/mEqQjFv82KAt67gr9
Use the rehearsal tracks to get familiar with your parts! Accessible through the member page, or this direct link to the Google Drive. The folders for “Defying Gravity” and “Make Them Hear You” have new tracks loaded within the last week. We originally were given the SATB tracks for both songs. They are now the correct SSA and TTBB tracks respectively.
LAST CALL! – Do you want your ipods or earbuds (that you loaned in the Fall) returned to you? After this Thursday’s rehearsal, I will send these items (photos attached) to recycling if not claimed!
